Pragmata for Nintendo Switch 2 is Capcom's brand-new sci-fi action-adventure, an original IP first revealed back in 2020 and finally here. You play as Hugh Williams, a systems engineer sent with an investigation team to the Cradle, a remote lunar research station that has suddenly gone silent. When a moonquake separates Hugh from his crew, he is rescued by Diana, a young android girl wandering the facility alone.

The station's AI, IDUS, has turned hostile and sends an army of robots to stop the unlikely duo at every turn. Together, Hugh and Diana must fight their way through the facility, uncover what happened to its vanished inhabitants and find a way back to Earth, all while building a warm, heartfelt bond along the way.

Shoot and Hack at the Same Time

Pragmata's standout feature is its unique combat system. You control both characters at once: Hugh moves, jumps and shoots, while Diana hacks enemies in real time. Most robots are heavily armoured, so Hugh's guns alone won't get the job done. Link nodes on Diana's hacking grid to expose weak points, then open fire. Take a hit mid-hack and you'll be interrupted, turning every fight into a fast, puzzle-like battle on two fronts.

Explore a Strange Lunar World

The Cradle mines lunafilament, a material that can 3D print almost anything, and the result is a station full of half-built replicas of human civilisation, including a printed version of a New York neighbourhood. Use Hugh's thrusters to hover, dodge and reach high ledges, solve environmental puzzles with Diana's hacking, and hunt for hidden weapons, upgrade modules and secrets in every area.

Upgrade in the Shelter

Between missions, return to the Shelter hub to upgrade Hugh's suit and weapons and power up Diana's hacking abilities. It's also where the relationship between Hugh and Diana grows, making it one of the most loved parts of the game.
