Nice Day for Fishing - Nintendo Switch

Buy Nice Day for Fishing in Australia

Nice Day for Fishing is the officially licensed pixel-art RPG from the comedy minds of Viva La Dirt League, the New Zealand YouTube crew behind the hit Epic NPC Man series. Developed by FusionPlay and published by Team17, it puts you in the boots of Baelin, the humble fisherman of Honeywood, who becomes the most unlikely hero in the land when the legendary adventurers of Azerim vanish without a trace. Armed with nothing but a rod, a pocket full of bait and a whole lot of optimism, Baelin sets out to save the world the only way he knows how: fishing.

This physical Nintendo Switch edition, released by Silver Lining Interactive in November 2025, includes the full game plus the Legendary Edition DLC, packed with exclusive chests of heroic gear and 12 premium items forged from Erangel steel and Sanhok leather, all approved by Greg the Garlic Farmer himself. It's a must-have for VLDL fans and anyone who loves charming, comedy-packed indie RPGs.

Epic Fishing Battles

In Nice Day for Fishing, every catch is a fight. Hooked fish show their own level and health bar, and you'll need precision timing, strength and strategy to reel them in. Unlock and cast spells against your aquatic adversaries, equip magical hooks, and take on monstrous boss fish lurking in the deepest waters. Each victory earns experience that permanently boosts Baelin's health and stamina, so the humble NPC slowly becomes a true hero.

Explore Azerim and Rebuild Honeywood

With your rod as your weapon and your boat as your trusty steed, journey across the islands and underwater zones of Azerim, from lush forests to sunken caves. Take on quests from a colourful cast of NPCs, uncover hidden treasures, buy new rods, hats and potions from village vendors, and sell your catch for gold. Complete fish collections from each region and offer them at the statue of the mighty fishing god to earn blessings and upgraded skills, all while helping to rebuild Baelin's home village of Honeywood.
