Buy Madden NFL 23 in Australia

Madden NFL 23 for PS5 is EA SPORTS' tribute to the late Coach John Madden, who appears on every cover of the game for the first time in over two decades. Developed by EA Tiburon and released in August 2022, it delivers authentic 11v11 NFL football with real teams, rosters and stadiums, built around a brand-new gameplay system designed to give you more control at every position.

On PlayStation 5, Madden NFL 23 introduces the FieldSENSE Gameplay System, which is exclusive to new-generation consoles and not available in the PS4 version. Combined with deep Franchise options, a revamped Face of the Franchise story and Madden Ultimate Team, it's one of the most complete Madden experiences on PS5.

FieldSENSE: Next-Gen Football on PS5

FieldSENSE uses new animation branching technology and thousands of new animations to make every snap feel less scripted and more realistic. Its key mechanics include:

Hit Everything – deliver mid-air knockouts, join tackles already in progress, blow up blocks and force turnovers with stand-up tackles
Skill-Based Passing – an optional aiming system that lets you place the ball exactly where only your receiver can catch it
360 Cuts – cut when and where you want to hit open running lanes
WR vs DB Battles – more physical, dynamic one-on-one fights between receivers and defensive backs off the line

Build Your Dynasty in Franchise Mode

Franchise mode returns with smarter trade logic, refined scouting, expanded staff management and more depth in free agency, giving you greater control over your team's future. In Face of the Franchise: The League, you step into the cleats of a fifth-year NFL player on a new team and fight to prove yourself, while Madden Ultimate Team lets you collect players and build your dream roster. The Yard brings back fast, backyard-style 6-on-6 action for something more casual.
