Buy Beast of Reincarnation in Australia

Beast of Reincarnation is the bold new action RPG from Game Freak, the studio behind Pokémon, and its first large-scale original adventure outside the series. Published by Fictions, this one-person, one-dog action RPG takes you to a post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 4026, a land ravaged by blight and ruled by monstrous beasts. Pick up the physical PS5 edition and discover one of 2026's most talked-about new action games, with striking art direction that has drawn comparisons to Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke.

You play as Emma, an outcast shunned as a Blighted One, travelling alongside Koo, her loyal blighted dog. Summoned to destroy the fabled Beast of Reincarnation, the pair journey across a beautiful yet brutal world with the mysterious guide Brad and young Kagura, hunting powerful bosses known as Nushi and absorbing their powers to grow strong enough for the final battle. As Emma and Koo push deeper into the wasteland, their bond grows and strange new abilities blossom.

One Swordswoman, One Very Good Dog

Combat blends fast real-time swordplay with tactical command-based attacks. Emma's sword battles focus on precise parrying, dodging and breaking enemy stagger bars, earning comparisons to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Stellar Blade. Successful parries build a resource that lets you call on Koo, and opening his ability wheel slows time so you can unleash his elemental blight attacks, launch enemies into the air for combos or heal Emma mid-fight. Bows, crossbows and stealth takedowns give you even more ways to tackle every encounter.

Build Your Own Playstyle

Customise both partners through skill trees, gear and spirit stones, and shape your loadout around ranged, stealthy or aggressive combat. Emma can lean towards melee, ranged or magic, while Koo can specialise in healing or damage, and hybrid builds are fully supported. Equip Koo with up to six special moves at once, give him utility items such as mines and bombs, and strengthen your rapport with him as you travel.

A Living, Ever-Changing World

Explore large maps across a ruined Japan where dense forests can suddenly burst forth from the wasteland in real time. Rest at camp sites to recover, uncover the secrets behind the blight and the Nushi you defeat, and take in vibrant scenery and wildlife on a journey filled with loneliness, companionship and discovery.
