Sync Attacks and Squad Tactics

Line your characters up correctly and you'll trigger automatic Sync Attacks, unleashing extra damage whenever enemies fall within multiple squad members' line of sight. Positioning, timing and squad composition all matter, giving battles genuine tactical depth beneath the series' trademark chaos and humour.

Roguelike Runs Across a Branching Campaign

The campaign map is split into regions containing multiple missions you can tackle in any order, each culminating in a boss encounter. Fallen squad members can be revived mid-mission using reinforcement points, but if your whole squad goes down, it's back to the outpost to try again — carrying forward skill upgrades and weapon modifications earned along the way, so every run makes the next attempt a little stronger.
